P4D (“Play 4 Ducks”) is an app for friendly challenges between mates. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and how to get your data deleted. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and how you sign in (email and password, Google or Facebook). If you use a password, it's stored only as a one-way hash — nobody at P4D can see it.
- Your profile: your name, handle, an optional bio and an optional photo you upload. When you sign in with Google or Facebook we take your name from that account; we don't use their profile photo.
- What you do in the app: the props you create or join, who's on them, results and settlements, comments, quacks, who you follow, and names you type in when inviting someone who hasn't joined yet.
- Sign-in cookies: strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in and remember which page you were heading to. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Video clips you pick when posting proof stay on your device; they aren't uploaded.
Who can see it
Your name, handle, photo, bio, record and follower counts are visible to other signed-in players. A prop is seen by the people on it, plus — depending on the setting its creator chose — the creator's approved followers or everyone on P4D. Your email address is never shown to other players.
Why we use it
Only to run P4D: signing you in, showing your props and profile to the right people, and emailing you sign-up and password-reset codes. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use it to profile you.
Services that help run P4D
- Supabase — our database, sign-in and photo storage, hosted in Sydney, Australia.
- Vercel — hosts the app.
- Resend — sends sign-up and password-reset emails.
- Google and Facebook — only if you choose to sign in with them. They tell us your name and email address; their own privacy policies cover what they do.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When your account is deleted, so are your profile, photo, the props you created, your comments, quacks and follows, and your place on other people's props.
Your choices
You can edit your name, handle, bio and photo at any time from your profile. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account — see how to delete your data.
